The Challenge of Perfect Painting: Expert Insights from Bent Nails

Its very hard to have painting done perfect, only a very select few have that attention to detail!

You just bought a new home and found paint deficiencies?

Then you’re told, “have no worries we’ll come back within 30 days to do proper touch ups.”

Are you still seeing that newer paint mark on your wall now, its been 8 months ago?!

The issue you’re having is when the walls or ceiling was painted, they had to fix it that day. If not, well, with these photos of new builds. You’ll get the picture?!

Here’s the science behind your can of paint:

Going to the store & buying 3 separate cans of paint, they ALWAYS recommend you mix them in a pan before painting. When your home is painted the 1st time, you’ll never get that exact coat again. Why?

Because in that paint tray has mixed 6 to 11 cans in there. You’ll never get the exact same colour per can, there will always be slightly different tones, gloss or flat.

They’ve mixed so many cans together to get the perfect mix!

After 30 days your paint has slightly faded, depending on light exposure. Now a new problem in the mix! So when they come back to do easy touch ups, that can is fresh, missing proper light exposure, tints, etc. They’ll laughingly say “it won’t match right away because the paint is wet but once it drys it’ll blend in perfectly.”

They’ll walk away wiping their hands clean and you’re stuck with this poor work of blemishes.

There is only one way to hide the issue, repaint the entire wall or ceiling. If the issue is still there, fix it and repaint it all again. Its unfortunate, do it properly the first time. So you won’t waste your time/money repainting over & over again.

There isn’t an easy way out of this, the only frustrated people in the end is the homeowner.

Get it done properly the first time?!
